Christmas Carol Blog Hop
It’s here, it’s time, the annual DSS Christmas Carol Blog Hop.
Every year we do this blog hop with each designer choosing a favorite Christmas carol to design a mini kit for.
This year I am doing Little Donkey.
I can remember Christopher singing this with his Kindergarten class way back in the day and it brings back such sweet memories of
happy Christmas times when it meant more to me, when it was all about the children.

Toot Toot, hop on Board
Yes it’s the silly season again and Darlene at the Studio has organised our annual Christmas Blog Train, so hop on board to snag some fabulous Christmas mini kits by the Designers at Digital Scrapbooking Studio.
As we do every year, we have all chosen a Christmas Song or Carol to theme our kit on. Mine this year is Blue Christmas.
It’s a sad Christmas song but hey a lot of people are sad at this time of the year too.
Once you have grabbed my Blue Christmas pressie, hop back on board and head over to the next station at DeliScraps by Min for her goodie too.
Here’s the blog train timetable of stations. The train departs at 6pm EST December 5th and will terminate at the North Pole on the 12th, Santa sort of needs it back by then LOL

BIRTHDAY BASH at the Studio
yes it’s nearly that time again, the Studio Birthday Bash is just days away.
Our STUDIO ANNUAL DESIGNER COMPETITION sign up thread closes midnight on 31st August so if you want to get in on this fun competition rush over to the Studio now. We have amazing prizes this year, the winning 3 designers will score a wacom Bamboo Tablet and the top 10 will get an Atomic Cupcake certificate, wow!!
Even if you don’t aspire to becoming a digital scrapbooking designer there are already 78 contestants signed up for this contest and so for our Studio Members that means 78 free minikits!!! How cool is that! come on over to the Studio and become a part of our community to grab all these goodies. The contest runs all of September and we have lots going on during our Annual Birthday Bash.
Also mitsybelle Designs and I are running the annual Studio CT LAYOUT COMPETITION, if you’d love to be part of the amazing creative team at the Studio jump to the sign up thread here, we’d love to see what you can create with our kits. And you’ll get some lovely kits along the way 
Okay so I know I have been real quiet when it comes to blogging. I am so busy with life and work and the Studio that I barely have the time anymore but as always I promise to try and be better at it.
I have collaborated with Linda Cumberland and Moon Designs on a fabulous masculine feel kit called Monsieur, you can check it out here. I loved working with these ladies, the designers at the studio are the absolute cream of the crop in my opinion, both as designers and as wonderful women.

Well I have a commercial use freebie, I thought some of the ladies in the designer competition might like and well I thought some of my readers might like it too so here it is.

So the voting is on and the girls are very nervous, just like we all were last year. So if you would like to vote for your 3 favourites in this years SAS-y Designer Competition you have until midnight on 9th September (that’s in the US est frame)

So some of you may be aware that on Saturday I turned 40, yes I am on top of that hill looking down on you all LOL. So we had a lovely quiet day and went out for dinner that evening, I had a yummy steak and dessert, and yes I ate every mouthful LOL. Michael got me some movie tickets and a new drink bottle holder for my bike, the kind you can put vertical on your handlebars so it’s a lot easier to use that the one I had.
And I bought a new camera, a Canon eos DSLR 1000D it’s gorgeous and it’s got a zoom lens bonus too so the commercial use freebie is my first offering from that. Christopher bought me a camera too, but I had already got this one so he is going to take it back and hopefully get the money and give that to us to help pay for this one.

Okay so that’s it for today I might be back with some of the layouts I created with the kits from the competition, mitsybelle and I split them between us and managed to get every kit scrapped with. Phew LOL
